The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation helps build character and teach critical life lessons to disadvantaged young people living in America’s most distressed communities through baseball and softball themed programs. Since 2001, partnerships with successful youth-serving organizations have enabled the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation to reach over 815,000 kids across the country.
SquashWise
Baltimore SquashWise is a unique youth development program combining academic tutoring and support with coaching in the sport of squash. Many Baltimore students had never heard of squash before joining, and now they are completely hooked! Squash opportunities such as camps and tournaments are incentives that motivate SquashWise students toward academic excellence. Students join in middle school and remain in the program through 12th grade. Baltimore SquashWise expects 100% high school graduation and college access, following the successful model of urban squash across the country.
Old Line Society
Founded by associate Justin Batoff, The Old Line Society is a nonprofit philanthropic organization catering to social and civically minded young professionals in the Baltimore area. OLS aims at encouraging the new generation of young professionals in Baltimore to raise money while raising their glasses for locally and nationally based charities and the arts. In its young history, OLS has raised thousands of dollars for organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, Year Up, and Center for Urban Families, the Family Tree, Living Classrooms, etc. while providing an enjoyable and charitable alternative to the routine social calendar.
